Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to construct a decision mechanism for determining sustainable tourism attractiveness levels. The main aim is to propose an integrated model that merges neutrosophic logic with decision-making techniques to evaluate sustainable tourism attractiveness. For this purpose, the Interval-Valued Neutrosophic based Ranking Comparison - Modified Preference Selection Index - Opportunity Losses-Based Polar Coordinate Distance hybrid method (IVN-RANCOM-MPSI-OPLO-POCOD) approach is developed. IVN-RANCOM determines the weights of subjective criteria, while IVN-MPSI assigns weights to objective criteria. The OPLO-POCOD method is used to identify and rank how attractive each province is for sustainable tourism. The applicability of the hybrid neutrosophic decision analytics approach is tested in seven provinces located in the Eastern Black Sea region of Türkiye. By applying the hybrid method, the sustainable tourism attractiveness levels of these provinces are determined. The findings indicate that Rize Province has the highest level of sustainable tourism attractiveness. The most significant criteria identified in this study are "highland tourism centers", "number of blue flag beaches", and "number of festivals". Robustness and consistency analyses are presented, along with implications for both industry and academia.
